On the beach front , cost me less than £40 for 2 drinks 2 main meals and cheesy garlic bread, the food was fantastic absolutely delicious, so fresh , I had meatballs and spaghetti, the service was very good, and the place itself was very beautiful, lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

A walk-in and a table for 3 with no waiting. A surprise for a Friday at about 5.30. Quite a wait for the food after ordering, but that's likely to be because everything is cooked fresh to order. Interestingly, we saw the place filling up nicely as we waited and by the time we left it was proper busy. Friendly and attentive service and we didn't feel rushed, so no complaints there. Onto the food - 3 different styles of pasta (one each), chicken with mine, and ham and prawns with the other two. All perfectly prepared and for me the creamiest sauce I have ever tasted. We were offered the dessert menu, but decided it might be a bit too much and float on the beers we were heading for at the 'Beagle' after. My first time visiting this particular establishment, but it won't be my last, that's for sure.

What a fabulous place to nip for a snack or take your time enjoying a long meal. We come here mid walk for a drink and starters very often. The portions are fabulous and presentation is excellent. My foody other half says it is great Italian food done so well!

This place is amazing and I really loved the dish I chose. My pollo arrabiata was delicious. Very generous starter size with perfectly cooked crispy chicken and spicy sauce, although not overly spicy which was great. Service was excellent. I will definitely be back!

Had another lovely meal at Portofino. We were seated opposite the sea view. The general atmosphere in the restaurant is serene, a lot of effort has been made to create an authentic Italian feel. The food as always was top quality, a taste sensation and is very reasonably priced. I would recommend to anyone for romantic dining or even with the family or work fucntions. Tip- Make sure you order a garlic bread with cheese, it's too good not to!

Amazing restaurant the food was delicious and the service was amazing. They also do a great value lunchtime menu of starter and main for £14.95 per person. Would highly recommend it for lunch or dinner.

Beautiful restaurant, when inside it doesn’t feel like you’re on the Wirral!! We were grabbing a quick meal before the theatre (trains were late!!) and we were so happy that yes, they could feed us in time so we wouldn’t miss the beginning of our show. The service was excellent, staff so friendly and helpful, and well, the main meals and garlic bread were beyond delicious. We are going back for another visit! Really impressed!

Absolutely fantastic. The food is brilliant and very reasonably priced. Child's portion was well beyond usual and we took any leftovers home with us. True Italian owners from Milano. Highly recommend from someone who visits Italy very often. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
